Wednesday 21st August. Lincolnshire IA had a table top display at a Coloplast Open Afternoon which was held from 11-30am to 3-30pm at the Bentley Hotel South Hykeham Lincoln LN6 9NH. The event was well attended with between 30 and 40 people attending. As well as Coloplast and Lincolnshire IA’s table top displays Laura from CUI Wear also had a display. We managed to get 1 new member and CUI Wear also stated that they would be attending our Agm.


Tuesday 16th July. A Committee Only Meeting was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 7-00pm. The meeting was attended by 4 committee members.

Tuesday 9th July. A Get Together was held at “The Ritz” Wetherspoons High Street Lincoln. It was held from 12 noon until about 2-00pm. 13 members and guests attended. This was the highest attendance since pre covid.

Tuesday 25th June. A Get Together was held at “The Moon under Water” Wetherspoons High Street Boston. It was held from 12 noon until about 2-00pm. 6 members and guests attended.

Tuesday 20th June. Lincolnshire IA had a tablet top display at Clinimed’s Patient Meeting which was held at Lincoln Rugby Club Lodge Lane Nettleham Lincoln. It started at 11-00am and lasted several hours. 17 members and guests attended.

Saturday 11th May. The Annual Spring Meeting was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 12-30pm with a table top display by pouch Manufacturers and Suppliers who are available on the day. There will also be a buffet, just for fun quiz paper, the business meeting, a guest speaker and a raffle. Tea, coffee, infusions and bottled water will be available throughout the afternoon. The speaker was Julie Smith from Silvertime Legal Estate Planning Services. Julie gave an excellent talk covering subjects like Wills, Mirror Wills, Trusts, Life interest Trusts, Power of Attorney, Lasting Power of Attorney and Deeds of Severance. 13 members and guests attended.

Tuesday 14th May we held a Get Together at “The Ritz” Wetherspoons High Street Lincoln. It was held from 12 noon until about 2-00pm. 10 members and guests attended. This is the most at a get together since pre covid.

Friday 19th April  The IA National Annual General Meeting was held at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, Poyle Road, Slough, Berkshire SL3 0FF. Paul Pyrah attended on behalf of Lincolnshire IA.

Saturday 20th April The IA National Information Day was held at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, Poyle Road, Slough, Berkshire SL3 0FF. Paul Pyrah attended on behalf of Lincolnshire IA.

Sunday 7th April. The Easter Meal was held at Nosey Parker 1 Crusader Road Lincoln LN6 7AS. The table was booked for 12-45pm with 15 members and guests attending. There were 10 raffle prizes in the free raffle. Everyone attending had a really good time with the afternoon ending around 3-30pm.

Tuesday 19th March. A Trustee / Committee Meeting was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 10-00am prompt. 7 committee members were able to attend.

Monday 11th March. The Florence Minnie Lees (FML) Meeting and Midlands IA (MIA) AGM. These were held at Salts Healthcare, Ringway Business Park, Richard Street, Aston, Birmingham B7 4AA. The FML meeting started at 11-00am. The Buffet was held at 11-45am and the MIA (open) meeting started at 12-30pm and end at about 2-45pm. 14 people were in attendance. Paul Pyrah and Peggy Elleray represented Lincolnshire IA.

Tuesday 12th December. A Trustee / Committee only Social and Meeting was held at the Lincolnshire Poacher Bunkers Hill Lincoln LN2 4QT and started at 11-00am. 6 committee member were in attendance. It was Clive Staniland’s final event on the committee as he was due to retire from the committee on 31st December.

Sunday 3rd December. The Christmas Meal was held at Nosey Parker 1 Crusader Road off Tritton Road Lincoln. The table was booked for 1-00pm. There were 27 members and guests attending on the first snow of the winter. There were 18 raffle prizes in the free raffle. Everyone attending had a really good time with the afternoon ending around 3-30pm.

Saturday 18th November. The Annual General Meeting was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, and started at 12-30pm with a table top display by 3 pouch Manufacturers and Suppliers with each rep having a 5 minute talk. There was also be a free buffet, just for fun quiz paper, a raffle and the business meeting. The guest speakers were Mrs Nicky van der Drift CEO of Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial and International Bomber Command Centre and Keith Cadwallader Chairman of Midlands IA. Free tea, coffee, infusions and bottled water was available throughout the afternoon.

The Florence Minnie Lees (closed) meeting started at 11-00am. The buffet starting at 11-45am and the Midlands IA (open) meeting started at 12-30pm and ended about 3-00pm. 12 members were in attendance.

Sunday 3rd September. The Late Summer  Meal was held at Nosey Parker, 1 Cavalier Road  Lincoln. The table was booked for 1-00pm with 28 members and guests attending a very nice 3 course lunch with tea or coffee. This is record figures for any lunch organised by Lincolnshire IA. There was a free raffle with 16 raffle prizes. A really lovely time was had by all. This was the first time at this venue and after comments at the meal it looks like this will be our future meal venue.

Tuesday 18th July. A Trustee / Committee Meeting was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 7-00pm and ending at 8-38pm. It was attended by 8 committee members which included newly voted committee members Emma Maiden and Ken Laker.

Tuesday 11th July. The Get Together was held at “The Ritz” Wetherspoons High Street Lincoln from 12 noon until about 2-00pm with only 2 members attending.

Wednesday 5th July. A Coloplast Event was held at the Bentley Hotel South Hykeham Lincoln from 11-30am to 2-30pm. Lincolnshire IA had a table top display managing to get 5 new members. The event was very well attended. Thanks to those who helped Paul Pyrah on the day.

Saturday 29th April. The National IA Information Day was held at Chesford Grange Hotel Kenilworth CB8 2LD. Paul Pyrah attended the Information day on behalf of Lincolnshire IA.  There were eminent speakers and interactive workshops with plenty of time to visit the many exhibitions and displays by company representatives.

Friday 28th April. The National IA Annual General Meeting was held at Chesford Grange Hotel Kenilworth CB8 2LD. Paul Pyrah as Lincolnshire IA’s Company Law Member attended this closed meeting.

The table was booked for 1-00pm with 22 members and guests attending a very nice 3 course lunch with tea or coffee. There was a free raffle with 16 raffle prizes. Everyone attending also received an egg sized Easter Egg. A really lovely time was had by all.

Saturday 4th March. The Florence Minnie Lees Bequest Fund meeting and the Midlands IA Agm was held at Salts Healthcare Ringway Business Park Richard Street Aston Birmingham B7 4AA. The FML meeting started at 12-43pm and ended at 1-25pm. A short trustee only meeting followed. The buffet which was kindly supplied by Salts Healthcare started at 1-30pm. The Midlands IA Agm started at 2-30pm and ended at 4-45pm.

Thursday 23rd February. A Coloplast Open Afternoon was held at The Carre Arms Hotel Mareham Lane Sleaford. It started at 12 noon and ended at 3-00pm. Lincolnshire IA held a table top display with the events being really well attended. The afternoon resulted in Lincolnshire IA gaining 5 new members.

Tuesday 6th December. A Committee Only Social and Meeting was held at Lincolnshire Poacher Bunkers Hill Lincoln LN2 4QT starting at 7-00pm. 4 committee members attended

The event was well attended and thanks to Paul Pyrah and Robert Wallbank for helping at the event. Lincolnshire IA had a table top display.

Thursday 29th September. There was a Stoma Care Wellness Day at the Pelham Suite, Cambridge Road Grimsby from 10-00am until about 1-30pm. It was organised by the stoma team from the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby. There were a number of various table top displays with Lincolnshire IA having their table top display. The event was really well attended and tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits. Many thanks to the stoma team for organising a buffet lunch for the table top displayers.

Wednesday 7th September. There was a CliniMed Patient Meeting at Welton Manor Golf Centre The Falconer Hackthorn Road Welton Lincoln LN2 3PA starting at 11-00am until about 1-00pm. CliniMed had a product demonstration which covered their products. Lincolnshire IA had a brief presentation with Lincolnshire IA gaining a new member.

Sunday 4th September. The Late Summer Meal was held at The Lincoln Green. Lincoln Road, North Hykeham, Lincoln LN6 8DL with everyone meeting at 12-45pm. There were16 members and guests attending the meal is 3 course lunch with tea or coffee. There were 13 prizes in the free raffle with the Lincoln Green donating a bottle of wine for the raffle. As usual we had good service and lovely food.

Wednesday 3rd August Lincolnshire IA had a table top display at the Coloplast Summer Open Day at Crystal Suite Bentley Hotel Newark Road South Hykeham Lincoln LN6 9NH Starting at 11-00am until about 2-00pm there were roughly 80 to 100 people attending. we chatted to many and gained 4 new members from the event.

Saturday 23rd July 2022. We  had our Inspire Award Afternoon Tea  at Pennell’s Nursery Restaurant South Hykeham. The Afternoon Tea was attended by 16 members and guests, it was free to members. Many thanks to Stephanie Turner for organising the event.

Tea, coffee, infusions and bottled water were available all afternoon.

Thursday 28th February. A Coloplast Event was held at The Bentley Hotel, South Hykeham Lincoln from 11-00 until 2-00pm. Lincolnshire IA had a table top display. Tea, coffee and refreshments were also served. A very enjoyable event with Lincs IA getting a new member.

Friday 25th January. A Pelican Exclusive Event was held at The Bentley Hotel, South Hykeham Lincoln from 10-00am until 12-20pm. It was well attended by around 25 people and included a Q and A session by the Respond Healthcare Nurse, a talk about airport security and travelling with a stoma from a member of the Birmingham Airport Help Team. There were also talks by Natalie of Pelican and Nikki of Respond. Lincolnshire IA had a table top display. Tea, coffee and refreshments were also served. a very enjoyable event.

Wednesday 15th March. Saturday 16th May. The Lincolnshire IA Annual General Meeting was held in the Lecture Theatre of the Lincoln County Hospital and started at 1-00pm with a table top display by reps from three Pouch Suppliers and Manufacturers, this was followed by a just for fun quiz paper. The business meeting started at 2-00pm,  this was followed by the guest speaker,  raffle, and buffet with tea and coffee. 24 members and guests were in attendance.

Tuesday 9th September. The Get together was at a different venue to The Ritz and it was held  at “The Barge” Brayford Pool Lincoln, this was a request by a number of members and was held from 12 noon to about 2-00pm. Sadly there were only 3 of us there, so it’ll be back to The Ritz in future.

Sunday 7th September. The Late Summer Meal  was held at The Crown and Arrows, Lincoln, meeting at 1-45pm sitting down at 2-00pm.  The Plough had contacted us on Saturday 30th August stating that due to staffing problems they had to cancel, unfortunately only ten members and guests attended out of the original 16. There were eight prizes fore the free raffle, the tin of sweets were won by George Laidler, the chrysanthemum plant by Clive Staniland and the six minor prizes by Paul Pyrah, Nora Chapman, Thelma Childs, Sarah Richardson, Sandra Staniland and Edna Staniland.

The AUTUMN MEETING was held on Saturday 16th November 2013 in the Lecture Theatre of Lincoln County Hospital Greetwell Road Lincoln. 27 members and guests were in attendance. It started with an appliance display at 1-00pm, there was a just for fun quiz paper. At about 2-00pm the General meeting will start with reports from the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer with any other business where any questions you have will be answered. Then about 2-30pm it’s time for the guest speaker, Judy Theobald, the BBC Lincolnshire radio presenter who will talk about her 20+ years in the media. There will also be a raffle, tea, coffee and buffet snacks.

They were won by Mrs Sylvia Spencer, Mr Lewis Shaw, Mrs Peggy Elleray, Mrs Christine Hague and Mr Fred Cooper.  Everyone had an excellent meal and a good time was had by all and the afternoon was over by 4-15pm.

The Acting Chairman, Paul Pyrah, opened the meeting at 7-30pm.  Many items were discussed including Mrs Jocelyn Fitzgerald was voted on to the committee as the new President, Mr Fred Cooper was voted on to the committee as the new Chairman and Mrs Linda Butler was voted on to the committee as an ordinary committee member. The AUTUMN MEMBERS MEETING was held in the Lecture Theatre of the Lincoln County Hospital and started at 12-30pm on  10th November 2012. It was attended by 29 members and guests. The pouch suppliers and manufacturers were displaying there appliances and accessories from 1-00pm. The business part of the meeting started at  2-00pm followed  by the guest speaker The Guest Speaker, Mr Brian Harrison spoke about “Lincs with India”. Brian gave a very interesting and informative talk about his charity and the children they help in Tamil Nadu. The raffle was drawn and then we had the buffet, tea and coffee. Towards the end of the meeting Paul Pyrah, the Vice Chairman, was approached by Mrs Linda Butler who said she would like to join the committee as an ordinary committee member and Mr Fred Cooper expressed interest in becoming the new Chairman. It was agreed that both attend the next committee meeting to be voted into their chosen position. The Acting Chairman closed the meeting at 4-15pm.
