Saturday 9th<\/sup> May.<\/span> The<\/span> Annual Spring Meeting <\/span>will be held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 12-30pm with a table top display by Vanessa Dosanjh of Coloplast, Emma Rylands of Convatec, Laura Cook from CUIwear, Tim Barnacle of Penlan Medical and Helen Sale of Salts Healthcare. with each rep also having a 5 minute talk. There were 16 members and guests attending. There were the usual just for fun quiz, raffle, buffet and the business meeting. Chairman Steve introduced the guest speaker, SaraJane Drewery a stoma nurse specialist from Convatec, who spoke about skin health and fluids with a stoma. She gave an excellent talk which was very well received, and she was thanked for her talk. The event ended at just gone 4-00pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday 25th<\/sup> April.<\/span> The<\/span> National IA\u00a0Information Day<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>was held at Chesford Grange Hotel B4115 Kenilworth Warwick CV8 2LD\u00a0which started with registration from 9am. There were 186 delegates at the Information Day including a number of lectures, talks and workshops. One of the highlights was was Lincolnshire IA’s Paul Pyrah who received a Lifetime Achievement Award. It was one of 11 awards with one of those being awarded posthumously. The event ended about 5-10pm. There were 110 people registered for the Evening Dinner with everyone meeting at\u00a07-00pm for drinks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Friday 24th<\/sup> April. <\/span>The\u00a0IA National Annual General Meeting\u00a0<\/span>was held at Chesford Grange Hotel B4115 Kenilworth Warwick CV8 2LD starting at 2.30pm. \u00a0There were 21 Company Law Members and Board Members attending in person, including Lincolnshire IA’s Paul Pyrah and three attended via a Zoom video link. In the evening IA laid on a very nice buffet for all the One2one volunteers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 12th<\/sup> April.<\/span> <\/span>The Easter Lunch <\/span>was held at Nosey Parker 1 Crusader Road Lincoln LN6 7AS. The table was booked for 1-00pm. 22 members and guests attended the lovely 2 and 3 course lunch. There were 20 prizes in the free raffle. Thanks go to Salts Healthcare for their very kind donation towards the event and also to Paul Pyrah for obtaining a 15% discount using his Blue Light Discount Card. Paul also arranged and hosted the event.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Monday 16th<\/sup> March.<\/span> <\/span>The Florence Minnie Lees (FML) Meeting and<\/span> Midlands IA (MIA) <\/span>AGM<\/span> was <\/span><\/span>will be held at Salts Healthcare, Ringway Business Park, Richard Street, Aston, Birmingham B7 4AA. The FML meeting started at 11-00am with 6 of the 7 committee members in attendance. Paul Pyrah from Lincolnshire was again voted in as their secretary. The buffet started at 11-45am and the MIA (open) Agm started at 12-20pm with 11 people in attendance and ended at 2-22pm. Paul Pyrah and Peggy Elleray represented Lincolnshire IA with Paul again being voted in as the Midlands IA trustee and secretary.<\/p>\n

Tuesday 3rd<\/sup> March. <\/span>A Trustee\/Committee Meeting <\/span>was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 10-00am. There were 5 committee members in attendance, then + 1. Susan Marr resigned from the committee before the meeting and we thank her for all she has done for our charity. We voted Philip Prockter onto the committee as Development Officer and we welcome Philip to the committee. We still have 10 committee members, the most allowed under the constitution.<\/p>\n

Tuesday 13th<\/sup> January. <\/span>The first event of the year which was a Coffee and Chat <\/span>at \u201cThe Ritz\u201d Wetherspoons High Street Lincoln was held from 12 noon for a couple of hours. 12 members and guests were in attendance.<\/p>\n

Sunday 7th December<\/span>. The Christmas Festive Lunch<\/span> was held at Nosey Parker’s in Lincoln. It started at 1-00pm with 25 members and guests in attendance. There were 23 prizes in the raffle and thanks go to those who donated some of the prizes. The 2 or 3 course Festive Lunch ended with tea or coffee at 3-35pm.<\/p>\n

Saturday 22nd<\/sup> November. <\/span>The Annual General Meeting and Social<\/span> <\/span>was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 12-30pm with 14 members and gusts attending. Because of car problems and family issues no company representatives were available on the day. There was a buffet, a just for fun quiz paper, a raffle, a guest speaker and the business meeting. The guest speaker was Hannah Sylvester BSc (Hons), MNIMH, Certificate of Education for the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. She is a Medical Herbalist, Nature Educator and also does herb walks & nature connection experiences. Her talk was entitled My Medicine Chest in Your Back Garden and was well received. As always the buffet, tea, coffee and bottled water was available throughout the afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday 11th October<\/span>. An Afternoon Tea was held at Pennells Nursery Restaurant<\/span> South Hykeham Lincoln. The Tea was attended by 19 members and guests. Afternoon Tea was served at 2-30pm and the event ended about 4-10pm. Everyone who attended had a really good afternoon with the Tea being really nice.<\/p>\n

The table was booked for 12-45pm. 11 members and guests attended the 2 or 3 course lunch with tea or coffee will cost \u00a315-00 per person. There were 11 prizes in the free raffle. The food, service and company were excellent as usual.<\/p>\n

Tuesday 15th<\/sup> July. <\/span>A Committee Meeting<\/span> <\/span>was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick. It started at 7-00pm. Eight committee members were in attendance. The meeting ended at 7-58pm\u00a0 and refreshments were served.<\/p>\n

Tuesday 8th<\/sup> July.<\/span> <\/span>The Coffee and Chat was held<\/span> <\/span>at \u201cThe Ritz\u201d Wetherspoons High Street Lincoln from 12 noon until about 2-00pm. There were 14 members and guests in attendance. This is a record attendance since we first started these type of events in 2013. Many thanks to those who attended. We will continue to buy our members and guests tea or coffee.<\/p>\n

Thursday 26th June. <\/span>After an hours delay because the minibus didn’t turn up 4 members and guests went in Helen Sale’s car and 3 members and guests joined Paul Pyrah in his car to the Salts Healthcare factory tour <\/span>in Birmingham. After a very nice buffet supplied by Salts, the 9 of us had a guided tour of their Factory. We then drove to the Salts Healthcare Offices in Richard Street to visit the Central Skin Sciences Institute<\/span> before leaving for home at about 3-30pm. An excellent day out. Our Thanks go to Salts Healthcare and also Helen Sale for organising the event.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There will also be a buffet, just for fun quiz paper, the business meeting, a guest speaker and a raffle. Tea, coffee, infusions and bottled water will be available throughout the afternoon. The speaker was Mike Storr who gave a very interesting talk about the Old Time Music Hall. 17 members and guests attended.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 16th<\/sup> April. <\/span><\/span>Lincolnshire IA was invited to have a table top display at a Coloplast Living with a Stoma Event <\/span>which was held <\/span><\/span>from 11-00am to 2-00pm at the Boston United Football Club The Jakemans Community Stadium Pilgrim Way Wyberton Boston. Approximately 40 to 50 people attended. A excellent event from Coloplast as usual with Lincolnshire IA gaining 3 new members on the day and another new member the following day. Four new members in total. Another excellent event.<\/p>\n

Sunday 6th<\/sup> April.<\/span> <\/span>The Easter Lunch <\/span>was held at Nosey Parker 1 Crusader Road Lincoln LN6 7AS. The table is booked for 12-45pm. There were 18 members and guests attending. The free raffle had 15 prizes. The afternoon ended at 3-50pm with everyone enjoying the afternoon. An increase of 3 over last years event.<\/p>\n

Saturday 5th<\/sup> April. <\/span>The IA National Information Day<\/span> started at 9-00am and was held at Double Tree by Hilton Manchester Airport, Outwood Lane, Manchester M90 4WP. Paul Pyrah represented Lincolnshire IA. The event ended at 5-10 pm.<\/p>\n

Friday 4th<\/sup> April.<\/span> The\u00a0IA National Annual General Meeting <\/span>\u00a0started at 2-30pm and was held at Double Tree by Hilton Manchester Airport, Outwood Lane, Manchester M90 4WP. This was a closed meeting and only Paul Pyrah was able to attend as Lincolnshire IA’s Company Law Member.<\/p>\n

There were 8 members attending the meeting which ended at 12-15pm. This was followed by a social Lunch with Paul, Malcolm, Coral, Peggy, Susan, Ken and Emma.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 8th<\/sup><\/span><\/span> December. <\/span>The Christmas Lunch <\/span>was held at Nosey Parker 1 Crusader Road Lincoln LN6 7AS. The table was booked for 1-00pm. 26 members and guests attended the very nice Festive 3 course Lunch finishing with tea or coffee and the free raffle which had 17 prizes. the afternoon ended at 4-00pm. Unfortunately no photographs were taken at this event, but some would say fortunately haha.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday 16th<\/sup> November. <\/span>The Annual General Meeting and Social <\/span>was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 12-30pm with a table top display by pouch Manufacturers and Suppliers Nikki Baker of Eakin Healthcare and Laura Cook from CUIwear with each rep also having a 5 minute talk. Lynette Robson Rose the Coloplast Stoma Care Nurse Specialist also attended. There was also a free buffet, just for fun quiz paper, the business meeting and a raffle. Tea, coffee, infusions and bottled water was available throughout the afternoon. The guest speaker was The Worshipful The Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Alan Briggs who gave an excellent talk about his life and also covered some of his duties as Mayor. 17 Members and guests enjoyed the afternoon. Outgoing treasurer Malcolm Earney received a gift of 3 bottles of various red wines.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday 5th October.<\/span> The Autumn Afternoon Tea<\/span> was held at Pennell’s Nursery Restaurant, Newark Road South Hykeham Lincoln LN6 9NT starting at 2-30pm. 27 members and guests attended a very nice “Tea”<\/p>\n

At the lunch Malcolm Earney presented Paul Pyrah with an engraved Tankard to commemorate 30 years as secretary of Lincolnshire IA.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event was well attended with between 30 and 40 people attending. As well as Coloplast and Lincolnshire IA’s table top displays Laura from CUI Wear also had a display. We managed to get 1 new member and CUI Wear also stated that they would be attending our Agm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday 11th<\/sup> May.<\/span><\/strong><\/span> The Annual Spring Meeting<\/strong><\/span> was held at Canwick Village Hall Montagu Road, Canwick, LN4 2RW starting at 12-30pm with a table top display by pouch Manufacturers and Suppliers who are available on the day. There will also be a buffet, just for fun quiz paper, the business meeting, a guest speaker and a raffle. Tea, coffee, infusions and bottled water will be available throughout the afternoon. The speaker was Julie Smith from Silvertime Legal Estate Planning Services. Julie gave an excellent talk covering subjects like Wills, Mirror Wills, Trusts, Life interest Trusts, Power of Attorney, Lasting Power of Attorney and Deeds of Severance. 13 members and guests attended.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was organised by the stoma team from the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby. There were a number of various table top displays with Lincolnshire IA having their table top display. The event was really well attended and tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits. Many thanks to the stoma team for organising a buffet lunch for the table top displayers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Brian gave a very interesting and informative talk about his charity and the children they help in Tamil Nadu. The raffle was drawn and then we had the buffet, tea and coffee. Towards the end of the meeting Paul Pyrah, the Vice Chairman, was approached by Mrs Linda Butler who said she would like to join the committee as an ordinary committee member and Mr Fred Cooper expressed interest in becoming the new Chairman. It was agreed that both attend the next committee meeting to be voted into their chosen position. The Acting Chairman closed the meeting at 4-15pm.<\/span><\/h4>\n
